One Victorian Eastlake Ornate Cast Iron Oriental Pattern Mortise Lock R-4

Description

Listing for one antique Victorian keyhole mortise escutcheon with ornate solid cast iron face plate.    A very solid high quality mortise in excellent original condition.  Mortise has been cleaned, polished, lightly oiled.  All parts are in good working order.  Sorry no key. While there are no keys all five of these came from the same house and I believe they would be keyed the same.  These locks were designed for privacy not for high security so the skeleton keys are usually pretty simply and generic and there are several keys that would work with these.
I cannot say for sure what knob or knobs these go with but the leafs or flowers on it are identical to several of the catalog knobs with the Oriental pattern.

Listing is for one (five available at time of listing).  I post pictures of all five so you can see that all are in relatively the same good condition.  There is one shown in the last photo that has a small piece broken off the back plate.  It is not seen and it does not affect the workings of the lock.  This will be the last one sold.  If you purchase several and this one is included I will email you a reminder about this.  Should I find a replacement from the graveyard I will update the listing.
