Restored Branford Lock #260 Dead Bolt Mortise Rim Lock with Keeper & Key R-3

Description

Restored Small Rim Lock Style mortise dead bolt lock #260 made by Branford Lock Works (BLW).   This is a dead bolt only lock (does not have a knob). I say restored but refurbished or reconditioned is probably a more correct term.  Restored implies that everything has been put back into it's original condition which would include dipping them into black enamel.  These have been stripped down to bare metal inside and out.  All the interior parts were cleaned and polished if appropriate for the part.  All parts and springs were examined and replaced if necessary with matching period pieces.    All working parts are in good working order.
Comes as shown with mortise, keeper, key, and keyhole escutcheon.
There are myriad shapes and styles of these rim locks from super fancy to simple and functional.  Many are so similar they are hard to tell apart.  Most have no maker marks or names on them.  I include interior pictures because sometimes it helps with identification if you want to match one up exactly.
