Vintage Penin French PIETA Mini Medal MARY HOLDING CRUCIFIED JESUS Mini Medal

Description

For sale is a vintage French Pieta mini medal with Mary holding in her arms
the crucified Jesus.
The back of this medal has a shield on it and the words, which are quite worn
and difficult to see, translate from French to "Royal Abbey Of Our Lady Of
Hautecombe (town in France).
This item measures approx. 5/8" wide, is composed of a base metal, is smaller
than most medals, and is signed "PENIN" on the front right.
This item is vintage and has a lot of age and wear.  Much of the silver-tone
coating has worn off.
